The staff at Prosthetics Orthotics is dedicated to bringing the very best in service, products, and most importantly, quality care. Our quaint size allows us to give the personalized attention that all of our customers deserve. With the majority of our products being produced on-site, we have a highly trained staff of administrators, technicians, and professionals that work hard to make the process as smooth and as quick as possible. Each of our associates espouses our corporate motto of "Working with you – our customer".



Jim Low

Jim Low B.Sc., C.P. (c)

Jim completed his Bachelor of Science and Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo in 1976. He trained at a major teaching hospital in Toronto , and achieved his certification in prosthetics in 1980. He has also served on the Certification Board from 1988 to 1992, three years as Chairman, and one as President. Along with Allan he is the owner/partner at Prosthetics/Orthotics Barrie.




Allan Mardlin

Allan Mardlin C.O. (c)

Allan graduated from George Brown College in the Prosthetics/Orthotics Technical Program in 1987. After working in the field of Orthotics for seven years in London , Thunder Bay , and Barrie, he returned to study clinical methods in the Prosthetics/Orthotics program and graduated in 1996. He was certified in 1998, and is clinician at Prosthetics/Orthotics Barrie.




Heidi Bauer-Hume

Heidi Bauer-Hume B.Sc., C.P. (c)

Heidi completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Toronto in 1986. She went on to graduate from the Clinical Methods in Prosthetics/Orthotics program in 1989. She was certified in 1991 and has worked at two very different facilities in Toronto. One dealt primarily with lower-limb geriatric care while the other specialized in upper extremity prosthetics for children and adults. She has worked for Prosthetics/Orthotics Barrie since 2001 and now operates their clinic in Owen Sound along with Allan Mardlin C.O. (C).




Kim Morrison

Kim Morrison B.Sc., Prosthetic Resident

Kim received her Bachelors of Science in Biology and Biochemistry in 2006, a post graduate diploma in Prosthetics & Orthotics in 2011, and is working towards a Masters of Rehabilitative Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Kim has had a diverse experience in this field, both in Canada and around the world. She has worked in Australia, Cambodia, and in various healthcare facilities across Canada. She has also been involved in Prosthetic Research and has a keen interest in modern prosthetic technologies.
